एस० एन० सिन्हा कॉलेज, जहानाबादके स्थापना सन 1970 में हुई | हिंदी विभाग उसी समय से इस क्षेत्र में ज्ञान काआलोक विकीर्ण कर रहा है | आरंभ में इंटर कीकक्षाओ में राष्ट्रभाषा हिंदी काअध्यापन – कार्य प्रमुखता से होता था | धीरे- धीरे उच्च शिक्षा की ओर लोगो काझुकाव बढ़ता गया और और इस महाविद्यालय मेंस्नातक पाठ्यक्रम में हिंदी प्रतिष्ठा केपढाई होने लगी | हिंदी प्रतिष्ठा कीऔर यहाँ के विद्यार्थियो का काफी झुकाव है |और यहाँ उनका परीक्षाफल मगध वि० वि० में अपना विशेष महत्व रखता है |
